First4Adoption nominated for National Adoption Week Awards

24 October 2014

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for The British Association of Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) National Adoption Week Awards.  First4Adoption has been nominated in the Digital Champion of The Year category in recognition of how our website has increased the number of people coming forward to adopt.

Gemma Gordon-Johnson, First4Adoption Head Of Service says, “Alongside the information line, our website is a valuable first port of call for people looking to find out more about adoption. The number of prospective adopters choosing to engage with us online is growing all the time and it’s fantastic that the team are being recognised for this crucial aspect of our work”.

The awards ceremony will take place on the 4th November at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London and will be hosted by broadcaster Nicky Campbell with the Children’s Minister Edward Timpson MP as a special guest.  BAAF Patrons, actress and adoptive mother Clare Grogan and celebrity hairdresser and adopted adult Andrew Barton are amongst the judges.
