First4Adoption is the national information service for people interested in adopting a child in England.
Callers to the service can speak to friendly trained advisers to get information about adopting a child – from their suitability to apply to become an adoptive parent to how to begin the adoption process. The service can also put callers in touch with adoption agencies in their area. The First4Adoption information line 0300 222 0022, is open from 10am-6pm, Monday – Friday.
First4Adoption can also provide a range of support services to adoption professionals and stakeholders. These include:
First4Adoption can handle all initial enquiries about adoption for your organisation. We can set up specific numbers for your agency or consortia to handle these calls.
We have heard from colleagues at many agencies that it would be useful to have resources to help recruit adopters. First4Adoption is beginning work on pulling together generic marketing resources that you can then use locally.
First4Adoption can handle your recruitment calls, we are able to answer calls for adoption agencies and answer the call tailored to your agency, for example, ‘Good Morning Bristol’ or ‘Good Morning South West Adoption Consortia’.
First4Adoption can undertake mystery shopping for adoption agencies. We can make calls to adoption services, review websites, information sent to prospective adopters, and attend information evenings. We can also carry out adopter interviews.
If you are interested or want to find out more information about any of these services, contact Gemma Gordon-Johnson firstname.lastname@example.org / 07794 764 466.
