Mosaic adoption and permanency service is an exciting and innovative adoption service that was developed in 2003. The service was set up in response to the growing number of Black, minority ethnic and mixed parentage children (BME) waiting to be adopted in the care system.
Who we support:
We work with a variety of families from a range of ethnic backgrounds, including couples in racially mixed partnerships. While we realise that an exact racial match is not always possible, we strive to respect identity and heritage when matching adopters with children.
Mosaic is part of a national children’s charity that has been helping to find caring and loving homes for children who wait longer/harder to place/complex children since 1926. In addition to our personal service, excellent support and comprehensive training, you will also be considered for/matched with children across the UK rather than in just one area. We’re with you every step of the way and always put your family’s needs first.
What our adopters say:
86% of adopters said that our ongoing support was good or very good
94% of adopters said that the speed of response on initial contact was good or very good
‘Their clear values of hope and love for children and families and their deep understanding of minority ethnic communities.’
