Birmingham City Council is the largest Council in Britain and has 1,800 children in care.

We place children with a plan of adoption with families. Our current priorities are for all children but especially those aged 2+, sibling groups and children with additional needs.

We currently have 110+ children waiting. Each child is prepared through a range of therapeutic work and by their foster carers to enable them to make the transition to an adoptive family.

Come to Birmingham to find a team of dedicated staff who recruit, assess, train, approve and support adoptive parents for children throughout their journey to adoption order, which includes a support and training programme to aid adoptive parenting and achieve successful outcomes.

We welcome adopters from all backgrounds, living in Birmingham or up to 25 miles outside of the city boundary. Contact us on 0121 303 7575 or visit our website
