Description

Our need for adopters is based on the children waiting and those coming through the system. At present we welcome applicants within Bristol and those who live an hour’s drive of Bristol city centre, who can meet the needs of the following children:

  • any child with a disability
  • those aged 4 and over, siblings where at least one is aged 4 and over
  • children aged 4 and over with additional needs
  • children of black and minority ethnic background of any age

In addition to this we are looking for people to become concurrent carers. You can find out more about concurrent carers in our information pack.

Our need for families is regularly reviewed based on the children we have waiting, so if you are not in a position to care for the children in the above categories, please call us again in 2-3 months to see if our priorities have changed.

You can request an information pack by telephone or by filling out the adoption contact form on our website:  www.bristol.gov.uk/social-care-health/adoption-contact-us
