An Audience with Adopters of Children with Additional Needs

You are invited to attend ‘An Audience with Adopters of children with additional needs’

Adopting a child with additional needs can be challenging, but it can also be very rewarding.

Currently, 5% of the 2030 children waiting for adoption in England have additional needs.  We are looking for adopters who can embrace a child’s disability or diagnosis, support their specific development, build their confidence and love the whole child. Alison and Barbara have done exactly this, not once, but three times and they want to share their experiences with you in this month’s ‘An Audience with an Adopter’ event.

Alison and Barbara know first-hand of both the challenges and the joys of adopting children with specific individual needs and want to tell you all about being there to watch their children grow and flourish.

As a same sex couple Alison and Barbara also want to raise awareness to ensure other LGBT+ couples and individuals don’t miss out on the opportunity of growing their family through adoption.  They want to help us dispel the myths and re-assure you that adoption is possible and to follow your dreams.

If you feel you can consider giving a home and a family to a child with additional needs, please come along to this event to hear first-hand what it’s like to be an adopter with Caritas Care.

Please note:  It will be Alison or Barbara who will be present at this event.

We will also be holding online adoption information events twice monthly held on a Tuesday evening at 6.30pm.
